How do I disable 2sync notifications in Notion?
While 2sync automates actions within your Notion workspace, it doesn't directly send notifications. The notifications you're seeing are generated by Notion itself.
Here's why you might be getting those notifications:
- Mentions: If a 2sync automation updates a Notion page where you're mentioned (e.g., in a "People" property or within the page content), Notion may notify you.
- Page updates: Notion may notify you about any changes to pages that 2sync modifies, even if you're not directly mentioned.
How to manage Notion notifications:
You can customize your Notion notification settings to control what you're notified about. Here's how:
- Go to Settings & Members in your Notion workspace.
- Select My notifications.
- Adjust your preferences:
- Choose which types of notifications you want to receive (e.g., mentions, reminders, page updates).
- Customize notification delivery methods (e.g., email, in-app, mobile push).

Note: Even if you remove your name from a "People" property using a 2sync automation, Notion might still consider it a mention and send a notification. This is because the notification is triggered by the act of being added to the property in the first place.
