How to keep your sync when your Gmail account is discontinued
If the Gmail address that 2sync currently uses is being closed, the integration will lose access to the Google API and your automations will stop pulling events. You have two ways to keep everything running:
a) Transfer the connection to a colleague's Google account
- Pause the automation in 2sync to avoid partial syncs.
- Add the colleague's calendar:
- Click + Add calendar connection → + New Google Calendar connection.
- Choose Copy/paste credentials instead. A link appears.
- Send the link to your colleague → they sign in and get a one‑time code.
- Paste that code back into 2sync.
- Use the same team calendar under both accounts so the event source stays identical.
- Remove your old Google account from the automation once the new one is active.
- Unlink the old account globally:
- Go to Account settings → Unlink Google account.
- Change the 2sync login email to your colleague's address (they must click the confirmation email).
- Update the payment method if the card is tied to the retiring account.
This approach preserves your existing automations, databases, and history; only the Google authentication changes.
b) Start fresh with a new 2sync workspace
- Sign up with your colleague's email
- Create a brand‑new workspace.
- Reconnect from scratch.
👉 Choose this path if you want a completely clean slate or if the old workspace contained test data you no longer need.
