What are the possible sync settings in the Google Calendar automation?

These are the sync settings currently available on the Google Calendar automation:

  • Syncing timeframe: Choose how far back and how far ahead 2sync looks for events. Anything outside this window is ignored to keep the sync fast and predictable.
  • Default calendar event duration: If a Notion item has only a start time, set the default length so 2sync can create an end time in your calendar.
  • Guests who should receive an invitation when an event is created or updated: Decide who gets email invites or update notifications when 2sync creates or edits a Google Calendar event. Options include all attendees or only non-Google Calendar attendees.
  • Sync frequency: Set how often 2sync checks for changes and applies updates across your timeframe and filters.
  • Add Notion link below every calendar event description: Insert a direct link to the original Notion page in the event description so you can jump back to context with one click.
  • Allow event deletion: By default, deleting in one tool only un-syncs the item to protect data. Turn this on to delete the linked event or page in the other tool as well.
  • Sync Notion entries that were created before the first sync: Include older Notion items that existed before you set up the automation, so historical events are brought in.
  • Ignore Notion entries that are currently linked with other automations: Skip Notion items already attached to a different 2sync automation to avoid conflicts or duplicates.
  • Bypass Auto-Stop for significant data changes: Auto-Stop pauses a sync when settings would cause large edits or deletions. Enable this only after you review your setup and are sure you want to proceed.
  • Dry run: Simulate the sync without changing Notion or Google Calendar. Use this to validate mappings, filters, and timeframes safely.
  • Open Google Calendar bulk editor: Launch the cleanup tool to bulk delete or tidy multiple Google Calendar events by range or rule.
  • Open Notion bulk editor: Open the Notion-side tool to review, hide, or clean up synced pages in bulk.
