How can I create multiple syncs?

You can create multiple synchronizations from and to Google Calendar and Notion (2-way or 1-way syncs) following these steps:

Automation example 1: Personal calendar (2-way sync)

In the first automation, we'll sync our personal calendar in 2-way sync.

1. Go to My Automations, select Google Calendar & Notion sync, and click +New Automation.
2. Add a Calendar Connection and connect the calendars you wish to sync.
3. In the next step, Connect your Notion database and follow the instructions. You can either use our template made for this automation or use a custom database. For this example, we'll use our template. Once you've followed the instructions for it, click on Continue.
4. In the Field mapping section, map all the fields by default in 2-way sync and continue to the next step.
5. Set the filters you want and click on Continue.
6. Next, we'll set two values for this example:
   1. Page Icon Emoji: 📅
   2. Source: Google Calendar
7. In the following steps, name your automation and test the synchronization.
8. Start the sync now, and the first automation will be ready.

We will now need to set up a separate automation in the next section.

Automation example 2: Travel plans (1-way sync to Notion)

Let's say we want to sync travel plans on a separate automation using a 1-way sync from Google Calendar to Notion.

1. Repeat the steps above to create a second calendar connection with the calendar you want to sync. We can reuse the connection since 2sync will recall your previous steps.
2. In the Field mapping section, select 1-way to Notion, map all the fields by default, and continue to the next step.
3. Set the filters you want and click on Continue.
4. Next, we'll set two values for this example:
   1. Page Icon Emoji: ✈️
   2. Source: Google Calendar.
5. In the following steps, name your automation and test the synchronization.
6. Click on Start the sync now, and you are ready to go.

Automation example 3: Availabilities (1-way sync to Notion)

In this example, we'll create a 1-way sync from Google Calendar to Notion to show our availabilities without syncing the calendar's event title.

1. Repeat the steps above and create a calendar connection with the calendar you want to sync. We can reuse the connection since 2sync will recall your previous steps.
2. In the Field mapping section, select 1-way to Notion and delete the Event Name field. Then, go to the next step.
3. Make sure the title of the filters section shows Sync Notion pages when None of the following are true.
4. Add a Condition and select Event Free-busy > is > Free. This way, only busy availabilities will sync. Go to the next step.
5. Set the following default values:
   1. Name > Busy
   2. Page Icon Emoji > 📅

Then, click on Continue.

6. Name your automation, turn off Ignore Notion entries that are currently linked with other automations, and click on Continue. This will prevent 2sync from ignoring entries we linked in previous automations.
7. Test the synchronization.
8. Click on Start the sync now, and you are set!

Automation example 4: Shifts (1-way sync to Google Calendar)

In this last example, we'll create a 1-way sync from Notion to Google Calendar to show your shifts.

1. On your Notion workspace, locate the database you want to sync to Google Calendar. In this case, we'll use a Shifts database example.
2. Go to My Automations, select Google Calendar & Notion sync, and click +New Automation.
3. Add a Calendar Connection and click on the Google calendar where you want your Notion events to appear. Click on Continue.
4. Connect your custom Notion database by adding the connection on Notion and copying and pasting the database link as per the instructions. Click on Continue.
5. In the Field mapping section, select 1-way to Calendar. Then, map the fields you want and go to the next steps.
6. Go to the last step, name your automation, and test the synchronization.
7. Done!
