Account settings & preferences

Manage your profile, notifications, and account preferences

Your 2sync account settings let you manage your profile, notification preferences, and privacy options. Access them from the sidebar in your dashboard by clicking Settings.

What profile settings are available?

Personal information

Update your basic details from the Settings page:

SettingDescription
NameYour display name in the dashboard
EmailAccount email used for login and notifications
TimezoneDetermines how sync times and activity logs display
Google AccountLink or unlink a Google account for sign-in

Personal details

Additional profile information you can optionally provide:

SettingOptions
OccupationYour role or job title
Usage typePersonal, Team, or Company

These details help 2sync tailor onboarding and recommendations.

How do I manage notifications?

Control which emails you receive from the notification preferences panel:

NotificationDescription
Error alertsSent when syncs fail or need your attention
Onboarding emailsSetup tips and getting started guidance
Changelog updatesAnnouncements about new features and improvements
NewsletterTips, use cases, and productivity insights

Toggle each notification type on or off. Error alerts are enabled by default and recommended to keep active so you catch sync issues early.

Keep error alerts enabled. If a sync breaks due to a disconnected account or missing field, you receive an email immediately instead of discovering the problem days later.

What is the activity log privacy setting?

The activity log records sync operations for your automations. A privacy toggle in Settings controls the level of detail shown:

  • Detailed mode (default): Logs show the specific items that were created, updated, or deleted during each sync cycle (e.g., event titles, task names).
  • Summary mode: Logs show only aggregate counts (e.g., "3 items created, 1 updated") without revealing individual item details.

Switch between modes anytime from Settings > Privacy. The change applies to future log entries; existing entries are not affected.

How do I delete my account?

To permanently remove your 2sync account and all associated data:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Scroll to the bottom
  3. Click Remove account and delete data
  4. Confirm the deletion

Account deletion is permanent. All automations, connections, and configuration data are removed. Your data in Notion and external apps remains untouched.

This action cannot be undone. If you want to temporarily stop syncing, consider cancelling your subscription instead, since your access continues until the billing period ends.

FAQ

Can I change my account email?

Yes. Go to Settings and update your email address. You may need to verify the new email before it takes effect.

What happens if I unlink my Google account?

Unlinking Google removes the sign-in option. You can still log in with email using a magic link (passwordless). Your Google Calendar or other Google syncs are not affected because they use separate connections.

Does changing my timezone affect existing syncs?

No. Timezone changes only affect how times display in the dashboard and activity logs. Your actual sync data and event times are stored in UTC and remain accurate.

Will deleting my account remove data from Notion?

No. Deleting your 2sync account removes only 2sync data. Everything already synced to Notion or your external apps stays in place.

How do I disable 2sync notifications in Notion?

The notifications you see in Notion come from Notion itself, not from 2sync. Notion sends notifications when pages are edited, when you are added to a Person property, or when reminders trigger. To adjust these, open Notion Settings, go to Notifications, and toggle desktop push, mobile push, Slack, or email alerts. For comment noise, switch the page's Comments setting to Mentions only or None. See Notion's official guide at notion.so/help/notification-settings for full details.

How can I change the name of a connection?

Connection names cannot be edited directly. To change a name, disconnect and reconnect the account. During reconnection, 2sync assigns the updated account name automatically.
